People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.

Member Since: I can't remember when I started posting to TT.

Major Interests: My main interest at the moment is getting my business up and running. I left a job as a hydraulic engineer to start a business installing networks, servers and workstations for small businesses and doing maintenance for those systems. I also sell well priced hardware, do maintenance for residential customers and look after my wonderful little 18-month-old boy.

Other Interests: I really enjoy cooking. I love playing guitar and my fingers get a bit itchy if I don't play every day. I sing too - just not when people are around.

I just bought myself a Canon EOS 350D. I wanted the 300D initially, but when the 350D was released I knew it would be worth the wait. I got my second piece of L a few weeks ago, getting a second hand 70-200 f/2.8L. It's wonderful. Next on the wish-list is either a 5D body or to replace the 24-105 f/4L with a 24-70 f/2.8L.

Machines: I currently have three machines. The lounge-room media PC is an Celeron D430 with 1GB PC-3200 RAM, 1TB of Caviar and a fanless GPU.

The second is my primary work-machine a Athlon X2 4600+ with 4GB of DDR2, 1.5TB of Caviar and a 320MB GeForce 8800GTS with Ubuntu 9.04.

I have a white EeePC 701 with 2GB of RAM.
